Harnessing the power of pipelines to enable community prosperity

Pipelines move more than energy. They also bring real benefits to Indigenous communities across Canada. When pipelines pass through or near Indigenous communities, they bring opportunities for the communities to prosper thanks to CEPA member commitments to foster and encourage Indigenous-focused employment, education and business development measures.

It’s a win-win partnership. For Indigenous communities, it means jobs in areas where employment opportunities can be limited, and the chance for investment to propel communities to a higher standard of living. For transmission pipeline companies, it means working together to create opportunities to build a brighter future, and employees motivated to build better lives.

All CEPA members are committed to helping Indigenous communities prosper through training, education and business development. The results are successful programs across Canada, including initiatives to develop trades, fund community development and help Indigenous businesses flourish.
