Keeping Canada secure

We live in an age when cyberterrorism can challenge the sovereignty of any nation. Cyberterrorists also present a threat to key industries and infrastructure, like pipelines, so CEPA has been proactively developing initiatives and programs to mitigate the threats.

A CEPA workgroup was established in 2016 to manage the security programs and initiatives. CEPA has also been working with security agencies, including CSIS and the RCMP in Canada, and the FBI and Homeland Security in the USA, to align processes and procedures.

CEPA recently held a one-day seminar for cybersecurity experts to share trends and issues with members. The workshop gave CEPA members the opportunity to work with leading experts and share best practices related to cybersecurity. A strong, secure transmission pipeline infrastructure is vital for a strong, secure nation.
